Ghostwriting & AI: Why I See Opportunity Over Betrayal
I just talked to a ghostwriter that has issues with... ππ π²ππ΅πΆπ°π. It's a big concern right now, and for good reason.Β
Many ghostwriters worry that the AI tools we use might have been trained on content without permission.Β
It makes them feel a bit betrayed and suspicious, wondering if their own hard work was used without them knowing.Β
And honestly, who can blame them?
But here's the thing I shared with my teammate:Β
Think about when ghostwriting itself was seen as "πΆπ―π¦π΅π©πͺπ€π’π."Β
People felt it was wrong to have someone else write for you, a betrayal of the art. Yet, it became a totally normal, valuable service. It's similar with AI.Β
We might not know all the details of how every AI model was trained, but like a hand saw evolving into a table saw, AI is just a more powerful tool.
My lesson learned? π π°π΅πΌπΌππ² ππΌ ππ²π² ππ΅π² πΌπ½π½πΌπΏπππ»πΆππΆπ²π.Β
AI can seriously streamline your work, make things easier, and even catch mistakes you might miss.Β
While it's always good to question how things are built, I'm focused on how this tool can help us do better work and open up new possibilities.
